Student travel discounts
As a student you will be entitled to a range of travel discounts. Some of the main ones are outlined below. For details of other student deals see the NUS website.
Young Persons Railcard
A Young Persons Railcard will save you 1/3 on all train tickets. You can apply for a Young Persons Railcard if you’re aged between 16 and 25 or if you’re over 25 and in full time education. The card costs £20 and lasts a calendar year. Some student bank accounts offer the Young Persons Railcard free of charge.

National Express NX2 card
The NX2 card gives 30% off all national express coach travel. This card is available to everyone aged 16-24. The card only costs £10 and lasts a calendar year.
