Looking After Yourself - Health - Dentists Dentists
You should make sure you are registered with a dentist so you can receive regular check ups on your teeth and gums.

There are costs associated with all dental treatment, whether you register as an NHS patient or a private patient, though the charges related to being a private patient are significantly greater.

Click here to find details of your nearest dental practice. Please note, due to the national shortage of NHS dentists you may be obliged to register privately.

If you need emergency dental treatment contact NHS Direct on 0845 4647 and they will be able to give you details of the dental services available in the area. If you are not registered with an NHS dentist you should be able to seek treatment from a Dental Access Centre. NHS Direct will be able to provide you with details of your local Dental Access Centre.
