Students - How To Claim Health Costs
Applying for Help with Health Costs To apply for help with health costs you need to complete a HC1 form. Click here to request this form. The form asks for details of your income and expenditure. You will also be asked to provide copies of student loan notification forms, grants awarded and payslips. For help completing your HC1 click here.
If you have already paid NHS charges you might be able to get some or all of your money back. Claims must be made within three months of the date you paid the charge. To claim a refund you need to compete a HC5 form and send it off with your receipts. Click here to request this form.
Applying for a Disabled Students Allowance (DSA) Undergraduate (and postgraduate) students who have a disability, mental health condition or a specific learning difficulty which affects their ability to study, can apply for Disabled Students Allowances (DSAs).
