University/ College bursaries

In addition to the support available from the government, universities and colleges offer their own bursaries to certain groups of students. Typically, these bursaries target students from lower income households. It is important to speak to the university or college you are considering studying at in order to find out what bursaries they are offering and whether you are likely to be eligible to apply for any of this.

Alternatively the Office for Fair Access (OFFA) website (http://www.offa.org.uk) contains each institution's Access Agreement within which you will find details of the bursaries they offer.
