Travelling Information for Students
Whichever way you choose to travel around it is important to take some simple precautions to ensure you stay safe. This page covers safety tips for several modes of transport. However, the following few pointers are relevant whichever way you choose to travel:

  • Every time you go anywhere ask yourself these questions: Where am I going? How am I getting there? How am I getting back? Am I prepared for changes of plan? Have I let people know where I am?

  • Have a personal attack alarm within easy reach. These may be available from your Students' Union.

  • Carry extra money in case you get stranded.

  • Whenever possible travel with a friend.
